A leading retailer are looking for a Senior Digital Developer with extensive experience developing applications using Azure cloud services and .NET to join their team. The client have a number of exiting projects in the pipeline, with this role offered as a remote/hybrid working pattern.

As the Senior Digital Developer (Vue/React, .NET Core, Azure) you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing Azure-based web and mobile applications using the latest technology and AI assisted tooling. You will work as part of an agile cross-functional team, collaborating with other Developers, QA Engineers, and Project Managers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements and follow best practices.

You must have a passion for new technology and industry trends, with a particular interest in Azure technologies, and you must also be someone who keeps their knowledge current through training as well as exposure through project engagement.

Principal Accountabilities

? Design, develop and deploy full stack cloud-native applications using .NET, C# and Microsoft Azure services.
? Implement responsive, accessible user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, Nuxt.js and React.
? Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
? Write clean, testable code, using AI-assisted tools where appropriate to enhance productivity and quality.
? Integrate with external services via RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
? Implement automated unit, integration, and performance testing using xUnit, Selenium and JMeter to ensure quality and reliability.
? Deploy and monitor applications using Azure DevOps, Azure App Service and observability tools like Dynatrace.
? Maintain and contribute to technical documentation using tools such as Confluence and Azure DevOps.
? Conduct code reviews, mentor peers and promote engineering best practices, coding standards and continuous improvement within the team.
? Participate in a shared on-call rota, acting as an escalation point for the DevOps team, ensuring high availability and incident resolution.
? Stay up to date with emerging technologies and development methodologies, making informed recommendations and articulating the benefits of change where applicable.
? Collaborate with Architecture, Delivery and Service teams to ensure solution compatibility with enterprise standards and technical strategy.

Required Skills

? Proven experience as a Senior Software Developer, with an emphasis on building scalable solutions in Microsoft Azure.
? Deep expertise in C# and .NET Core, including experience writing clean, efficient and maintainable code.
? Professional experience in Front End development with HTML, CSS and TypeScript, as well as frameworks such as Vue 3, Nuxt 3, Node.js and React.
? Proficient in consuming and integrating RESTful APIs with an understanding of security mechanisms.
? Experience in integrating Front End applications with Back End APIs for dynamic data rendering, including state management, async operations, and UI-driven authentication flows.
? Proficient in mobile-first design and building responsive, cross-browser UIs using CSS frameworks, following accessibility (WCAG) and performance best practices.
? In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including: App Services, Azure Functions, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB and Azure Monitor.
? Experience working with SQL and NOSQL databases, including schema design, query optimisation and performance tuning.
? Strong experience in API design and development, including RESTful APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger standards, using tools like Postman for testing and documentation.
? Solid grasp of microservices architecture, and experience designing, developing, and deploying distributed systems.
? Familiarity with message brokering and event-driven architecture, using tools such as Azure Service Bus.
? Skilled in implementing unit tests to improve efficiency, scalability and repeatability.
? Proficiency with development tools including Visual Studio, VS Code, Git, and GitHub.
? Experience using backlog management tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
? Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban and working in cross-functional product teams.
? Experience leading technical discussions, performing code reviews, and mentoring junior developers.
? Ability to evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and architectural approaches in alignment with business goals.
? Experience with Power Platform tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate, and how they integrate with custom Azure services would be beneficial.
