We're looking for an experienced Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join a high-performing technology team supporting a large-scale e Commerce and digital estate .
You'll take ownership of production and non-production environments, deployment pipelines, monitoring and operational excellence, while working closely with development, IT and third-party partners to deliver secure, resilient and scalable digital services .
Key Responsibilities
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines across Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub.
- Support and optimise production environments, resolving complex incidents and problems.
- Drive monitoring, observability, performance and reliability improvements.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Pulumi or ARM.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure applications are designed for live supportability.
- Implement automation, proactive monitoring and preventative improvements.
- Support release, change and service transition activities.
- Promote Dev Ops, Agile and ITIL best practices across the team.
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to technical standards and continuous improvement.
- Ensure solutions meet relevant security, GDPR and PCI DSS requirements.
- Key Technical Skills
- Strong Microsoft Azure experience across Iaa S, Paa S, Saa S, serverless and containers.
- Strong CI/CD experience with Azure Dev Ops and/or Git Hub.
- Infrastructure as Code - Terraform, Pulumi or ARM .
- Scripting with Power Shell, Python, YAML and/or Type Script .
- Strong understanding of networking, DNS, routing, firewalls and load balancing.
- Experience with microservices and high-traffic web environments .
- Monitoring/observability experience with Dynatrace, Catchpoint or similar .
- Knowledge of CDNs, WAF, OWASP and application security .
- Experience supporting web/mobile applications, ideally within retail or e Commerce .
- Understanding of . NET, React/Vue and modern web technologies .
- Experience with databases and application performance optimisation.
Desirable
- Azure Dev Ops or Azure Architecture certification.
- Experience with ITIL / ISO27001 .
- Azure MLOps / operationalising machine-learning models.
- Experience integrating AI/agent-based solutions into enterprise environments.
- Experience with Akamai or similar CDN platforms.
