Network Security Engineer (WAF SME) Start: ASAP Duration: 6 months (rolling) Location: London, hybrid Pay: inside IR35, paying up to £530 /day We’re seeking an experienced Security WAF Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join a leading organisation at the forefront of web application security. You\’ll play a key role in protecting high-profile customer platforms across various industries, leveraging cutting-edge technologies including AKAMAI Kona Site Defender and other WAF solutions. Key Responsibilities: – Implement and configure Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to secure web applications. – Monitor WAF logs, detect threats, and manage incident response. – Conduct security assessments and forensic analysis. – Collaborate with Dev and IT teams for secure deployments. – Develop and maintain WAF policies, rulesets, and documentation. Key Skills & Experience: – 8+ years in software engineering; 5+ years in network security. – Deep expertise in AKAMAI WAF (Kona Site Defender); AWS WAF, Cloudflare, Imperva a plus. – Strong knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, CA (certificates), and load balancing. – Skilled in incident response, forensic analysis, and security policy development. – Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, AKAMAI) desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
