In this strategic leadership role, you will manage and mentor multiple engineering teams across different locations, with plans to establish a strong presence in new markets. You will shape the technical vision, build scalable systems, and partner closely with product and business leaders to deliver complex, industry‐leading solutions—culminating in a major product launch set for next summer. Required Skills- 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years leading and managing cross‐functional teams and 3+ years managing engineering managers
- Proven success in building, scaling, and operating large‐scale backend systems with high reliability
- Deep technical expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and modern API‐driven architectures
- JAVA‐led programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Angular, React)
- Hands‐on, collaborative leadership style—able to code, troubleshoot, and guide teams through complex technical challenges
- Excellent communicator with experience working across diverse teams and multiple time zones
- Experience or familiarity with complex logistical platforms or the travel industry
- Experience guiding AI‐driven workflows and data‐driven decision‐making
- Prior involvement in start‐up environments or rapid product iteration cycles, especially in high‐growth settings
- Knowledge of industry partnerships, vendor integrations, and standards adoption
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 10 years of relevant software engineering experience, with extensive leadership in fast‐paced, start‐up‐like environments working with major clients and Fortune 500 companies
- Willingness to work on‐site in London, with flexibility to engage across multiple locations and time zones
- Ability to manage high‐visibility projects and deliver solutions on aggressive timelines
