We’re working with a fast-growing technology business that is looking for an experienced KDB+ Engineer to join its team in London.
This is an opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working with high-performance, time-series data and wants to solve complex technical problems in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
You’ll work across the full development lifecycle, designing and developing solutions using kdb+ and q, while working closely with both technical teams and clients to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing and optimising kdb+ / q solutions for high-volume, time-series data.
- Designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data solutions.
- Working across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through to deployment and support.
- Collaborating with engineers, stakeholders and clients to understand problems and develop effective solutions.
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues and continuously improving system performance.
- Contributing to best practices around development, testing and delivery.
- Taking ownership of projects and working independently while contributing to a wider engineering team.
What they’re looking for
- Knowledge of q and time-series data structures.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Strong analytical, logical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of software development methodologies and the SDLC.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
