GCP Cloud Developer
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6-12 months
Location: hybrid, 3-days p/week in Warwick
Pay: Inside IR35, paying up to Β£475/day
We’re seeking a skilled GCP Cloud Developer to design and implement scalable, serverless applications and cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform. The role includes building APIs via Apigee, working with Cloud Functions, Dataflow, Cloud SQL, and automating tasks with Excel VBA. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps is also valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop serverless applications using Cloud Functions (Python or Node.js)
- Build and optimise data pipelines with Cloud Dataflow
- Manage relational databases via Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
- Implement workflows using GCS triggers and IAM permissions
- Integrate APIs using Apigee
- Create Excel-based automation using VBA/macros
- Maintain code in Azure DevOps Git and support CI/CD workflows
- Work collaboratively in agile teams
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proficient in Python or Node.js for GCP development
- Solid experience with GCP services (Cloud Functions, SQL, Dataflow, IAM, GCS)
- Familiar with Apigee for API management
- Comfortable with Excel macros/VBA scripting
- Version control knowledge (Azure DevOps Repos or similar)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- GCP certification (e.g. Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Developer) preferred
- Experience with CI/CD and handling large datasets/ETL pipelines
