Our client is undergoing a multi-year transformation to deliver a modern, resilient, and evergreen hybrid infrastructure, built on cloud-native and software-defined data centre principles.
The Enterprise Services Principal Administrator owns the end-to-end physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructure platforms. The role is responsible for shaping and delivering the infrastructure strategy, defining clear roadmaps, principles, and guardrails, and ensuring the platform is secure, scalable, and optimised.
This role is central to the next 3–5 years of infrastructure transformation, combining strategic leadership with hands-on expertise, and working closely with Infrastructure, Application, Architecture, and Security teams.
Key Responsibilities- Own and deliver the hybrid infrastructure strategy and 3–5 year roadmap.
- Define current and future-state infrastructure landscapes.
- Lead cloud adoption and modernisation across the organisation.
- Establish and govern infrastructure standards, policies, and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership across on-prem, virtualised, and cloud platforms.
- Advise stakeholders on solution options, risks, costs, and benefits.
- Identify and mitigate infrastructure risks while maintaining architectural integrity.
- Drive continuous improvement, quality, and consistency across platforms.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, PMO, and delivery teams.
- Participate in the on-call rota.
- Networking: WAN/LAN/WLAN, Routing, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Load Balancing, ZTNA
- Security & Identity: PAM, IAM, Active Directory, Entra ID
