Step into a critical role at the heart of mission-focused facilities. As a Data Centre Technician (Shift), you’ll support the site team to keep client data centre environments running reliably—delivering planned preventative maintenance, responding to reactive tasks, and managing the safe coordination of contractors across key M&E systems. You’ll help maintain high standards through proactive issue identification, accurate reporting via CMMs, and calm, professional escalation when matters become urgent. Requirements:
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and the ability to meet BS7671:2008 requirements (18th Edition)
- Basic PC literacy and confidence with database/reporting tasks (training provided on site systems)
- Willing and able to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays
- Basic Excel/Word/Outlook capability and confidence producing/using reports
- Prior exposure to BMS (Building Management Systems) operations
- Formally trained in mechanical and electrical services maintenance
- Electrical, Gas, Fire Alarms, and Sprinkler systems (where authorised/required)
- Be prepared to issue/handle permits for access (maintenance/service/project activities)
- Complete the critical services training programmes
- Reports to the Contract Manager and Site Supervisor (no direct reporting staff)
- Shift pattern flexibility for holiday, training & sickness
