Job Description
Database Admin/Developer (Azure Cosmos)
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6-12 months
Location: central London, 100% office based
Pay: negotiable, inside IR35
We are seeking a skilled DB Admin & Developer to design and build high-performance, cloud-native applications for the banking and financial sector. You'll architect solutions using Azure Cosmos DB (SQL & Mongo API), implement partitioning and indexing strategies, and ensure performance and scalability for Real Time financial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop cloud-native applications using Azure Cosmos DB
- Build reusable libraries in C#/.NET or Node.js
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps
- Optimize DB performance using Azure Monitor and Application Insights
- Ensure security, compliance, and resilience in line with financial industry standards
- Collaborate with architects and DevOps on microservices integration
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Azure Cosmos DB, including performance tuning
- Proficient in C#/.NET, ASP.NET, or Node.js
- Experience with Azure Functions, App Services, AKS, and Logic Apps
- Familiarity with distributed systems and NoSQL data modelling
- Skilled in CI/CD, Git, and automated testing frameworks
Nice to Have:
- Advanced knowledge of .NET Core, OOP, and scalable application design
