AWS Engineer Start: ASAP Duration: initial 5-months (extensions likely) Location: Central London (hybrid 2 days per week on site ideal) Pay: INSIDE IR35, paying up to £510 per day We’re seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join a high-impact project delivering robust, service-oriented architecture for a major financial services client. Key Responsibilities: – Design and build resilient, service-oriented architecture using AWS primitives – Develop RESTful APIs with AWS API Gateway and Lambda – Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform – Optimise AWS services including S3, IAM, Athena, Glue, Lambda, and API Gateway – Support integration above metadata repositories for One Bank Data Quality services – Contribute to serverless application development using AWS Lambda – Maintain secure cloud environments using Secrets Manager, IAM, and CloudTrail – Collaborate on the deployment and orchestration of AWS-native services – Automate infrastructure delivery pipelines – Apply best practices in AWS infrastructure design and management Key Skills & Experience: – 8+ years’ experience in software development – Proven expertise in AWS cloud engineering and serverless architecture – Strong Terraform experience for AWS infrastructure automation – Deep knowledge of core AWS services: S3, IAM, Lambda, Glue, API Gateway, Athena, CloudTrail, Aurora/RDS, SQS – Experience with Glue Crawlers, EUP, and Secrets Manager – Familiarity with Spark and Python for data engineering (desirable) – Experience with SageMaker Unified Studio (a plus) |
