Duties
To provide high standards of nurturing care to children and young people, aged eight to eighteen years, who may have experienced traumatic life experiences, and who may present with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Staff are expected to follow the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) in their daily practice, creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children and young people.
To recognise, respond to, record, and refer any safeguarding concerns in line with the home’s Safeguarding Policy.
Assistwith daily living tasks, such as preparing meals and maintaining a clean, safe home environment.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
Collaborate effectively with individuals, families, and external professionals to ensure cohesive, well-coordinated support.
- Engage children in educational and recreational activities that foster development and learning.
Maintain accurate records.
Collaborate with team members to create a supportive and positive environment for all individuals.
Qualifications
Level 3 or 4 for Residential Childcare is preferred.
Once you have successfully completed probation, you will be enrolled to complete a Diploma in children and young people by our in-house training team.
Previous experience working withchildren or in a similar support role is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with individuals and families.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members.
A valid driving licence to facilitate transportation needs.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team or independently when required.
