Storyteller is our fast-growing SaaS business, enabling companies (think major global sports brands) to integrate Stories into their owned and operated platforms. This brings a different financial profile, product economics and growth-stage dynamics. Storm Ideas is a forward-thinking media agency, founded in 2008, working with globally recognised clients across the US TV and entertainment industry. We produce content at scale, deliver operational services, and sit at the intersection of media, technology, and creativity. It’s a rare combination that keeps the work interesting and develops a broader skill set than a single-entity role.
Embracing Future-Facing Technology
The finance function is changing fast. AI and automation are absorbing the routine work — reconciliations, variance analysis, management account prep — that used to fill most of a finance team’s week. We’re not looking for someone who sees that as a threat. We want someone who sees it as an opportunity to spend their time on work that actually moves the business forward: strategic analysis, cash flow optimisation, commercial decision support, and building finance systems that scale without headcount.
You’ll own the entire finance function across two businesses — a 200+ person media agency with major US entertainment clients and a fast-growing sports focused SaaS platform. You’ll work independently, move quickly, and be expected to automate yourself out of the mundane so you can focus on what matters (this part is key). Importantly, you won’t be alone – you’ll be supported by 2 experienced Finance team members, with some assistance also from our Client Services team.
