The Senior Ad Operations Specialist is a strategic lead within the AdOps group, responsible for managing complex campaign portfolios and driving growth through proactive optimization. You will manage the daily operation of client campaigns and drive strategic revenue growth for each account. A typical day includes quality assurance, implementing campaigns, pulling pacing reports, and reviewing campaign status to optimize performance. You will troubleshoot and resolve site and advertiser issues, working closely with the account management team and other internal departments.
Responsibilities:
- Understand site ad functionality, including knowledge of all ad products available on our properties.
- Implement and manage digital and audio advertising campaigns, including direct and programmatic guarantee orders.
- Monitor the delivery of the campaign from beginning to end and optimize as needed.
- Design and execute strategic campaign roadmaps for high-value accounts.
- Translate campaign data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Drive team meetings to deliver successful KPIs.
- Generate reporting and recommendations for tools to improve workflow efficiencies.
- Perform proactive daily analysis and campaign optimization.
- Interact with internal and external clients to coordinate and consult for successful advertising campaigns.
- Coordinate with internal teams in QA’ing and launching custom campaigns and custom ad units.
- Provide concise, timely feedback within deadlines.
- Manage high-stakes, multi-faceted projects independently in a timely manner.
- Resolve troubleshooting/targeting issues, trafficking issues, and reconcile discrepancies with minimal supervision.
- Serve as a primary escalation point for complex technical or campaign-related issues, protecting revenue and client relationships.
Requirements:
- 4-8 years of online ad trafficking experience.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently within a high-paced, changing environment.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Flash, and JavaScript.
- Experience with ad serving tools and order management systems (e.g., GAM, Operative, Megaphone).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and communication skills with the ability to interact comfortably with clients and other internal departments.
- BA/BS preferred or experience in lieu thereof.
