User Experience (UX) Writer - Contract London, United Kingdom

With a recent strategic investment from Zurich Insurance and backing from the people behind Deliveroo, Zoopla, and Delivery Hero, we’re continuing to grow and evolve. Our journey has already been featured in The Economist, TechCrunch, and The Times—just to name a few.

This role will:

  • Play a critical part in crafting the voice of our brand across all member-facing communications.
  • Guide, inform, and engage our customers, creating seamless and delightful user experiences.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and adherence to our brand voice and tone.

What you will do:

  • Content creation: Write clear, concise, and engaging copy for all member touchpoints, including:
  • In-app copy
  • Email communications (e.g., registration emails, engagement campaigns, transactional communications)
  • Transactional notifications
  • Registration pages
  • Onboarding journeys
  • Campaign copy
  • Adherence to brand guidelines: Maintain consistency with our brand voice and tone across all platforms. Ensure that all content adheres to established glossaries and terminology.
  • Data-driven optimisation: Use member feedback and insights to inform content improvements. Conduct A/B testing to determine which copy drives better conversion rates and enhances member understanding. Track performance metrics and iteratively refine content for optimal results.
  • Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineering, designers, marketers, and other Onsi colleagues to ensure a cohesive user experience. Advocate for the user in all aspects of the design and development process.
  • Quality and efficiency: Work quickly without compromising quality to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Produce simple, exciting, and effective copy that resonates with readers.
  • This role isn’t for you if:

    • You struggle to handle feedback and iterative improvements.
    • You’re not comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • You prefer working in silos rather than collaborating across teams.

    • You enjoy using data to inform and refine your work.
    • You thrive in a collaborative and innovative environment.
    • You take pride in making complex concepts simple and exciting for readers.

    You will need:

    • Proven commercial experience as a UX writer, content designer, or similar role.
    • Strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create compelling and user-centric copy.
    • Experience in writing, editing, and refining UX copy for apps, websites, and digital interfaces, ensuring clarity and consistency.
    • Understanding of UX principles, usability testing, and accessibility best practices.
    • Familiarity with design tools (Figma) and content management systems.
    • Proven experience in A/B testing and using data to drive content decisions.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
