About SAVA

All the health information we need is within us. Just below the skin. SAVA is redefining the way people interact with their health by developing the most advanced biosensing technology science has to offer, capable of accessing bodily information in a painless, real-time and affordable way.

The Role

At SAVA, we’re building next-generation biosensors that demand both bold innovation and rigorous testing. As a Systems Technician, you’ll be part of the Systems Engineering team collaborating with diverse disciplines: Biosensing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Electronics, and Software.

Projects often begin as proof-of-concept tests, but a recurring theme is progressing toward automation and unattended operation. The challenge (and excitement) lies in translating these ambitions into robust physical test setups. This is a hands‑on role: building, running, and refining tests will be part of your everyday work.

We’re especially looking for problem‑solvers who can break down difficult, constrained physical challenges into elegant, practical solutions. That might mean translating complex measurements into simpler ones, or transforming hard‑to‑replicate stress tests into controllable, repeatable experiments. Strong technical judgment (knowing when to trust the data and when to dig deeper into the setup) will be essential to your success.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and build bespoke mechanical and physical test fixtures that stress test physical components (for example, ingress protection, accelerated ageing, mechanical wear cycling, temperature cycling, battery lifetime, vibration, shock etc).
  • Perform functional, performance, and environmental tests on products in accordance with test plans and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary engineering teams for specialist subject areas.
  • Contribute to test case and procedure design.
  • Manage test plans.
  • Produce clear documentation to enable repeatable test setups and results.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong problem‑solving ability, with the confidence to tackle challenges in new or unfamiliar disciplines by leaning on core engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience with CAD software.
  • Practical experience with a range of fabrication techniques (e.g. 3D printing, laser cutting, machining).
  • Familiarity with lab equipment for test logging, measurement, and control (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, force gauges, data loggers, closed‑loop controllers).

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with electronics, software, and Continuous Integration platforms.

Why SAVA?

This is a high‑ownership, high‑responsibility role in a company that’s building something complex, meaningful, and fast. The expectations are high, the learning curve is steep, and the work is often messy - but the impact is real.

We don’t have room for egos or passengers. What we do have is a team of thoughtful, driven, and mission‑aligned people who are committed to building something better - and doing it with urgency and integrity.
