The Role

Sava Technologies is hiring a cross discipline Electrical/Controls Engineer to join our Automation and Equipment Team. In the role, you will be involved in the design and development of custom automation equipment for manufacturing and R&D. Designing electrical schematics based on your hardware selections and programming equipment PLCs and robots to achieve the required process sequence, while following good safety standards. We value individuals who demonstrate a continuous eagerness for learning and making meaningful contributions to the advancement of our automation equipment and production lines. What You’ll Do

  • Support pilot and production line equipment from an electrical and controls aspect.
  • Designing electrical and control systems with supporting schematics in SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Hardware selection of equipment control circuits.
  • Programming PLCs, Safety PLCs and robots.
  • Systematically debug electrical issues, identify and rectify in a safe manner.
  • Drive the bring up of infrastructure and libraries for SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Own the documentation around the aspects of equipment design in terms of electrical and controls.
  • Support the bring up of high volume production equipment from external vendors in terms of both an electrical and controls aspect, provide support with installation, validation and equipment documentation bring up.
  • Ensure communication structure for API to PC-PLC systems in the production line.
  • Design, review and commissioning of electrical and control systems.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in equipment controls/electrical design role.
  • Qualified in an Electrical Design Discipline Degree or Controls Engineering Discipline.
  • Proficient PLC Programming and HMI Development (Beckhoff/Allen Bradley) & Safety PLC Programming (Pilz/SICK).
  • Skilled in Electrical Schematic Design & familiar with design software (SolidWorks Electrical).
  • Experienced in Robotic Programming.
  • SolidWorks Electrical software infrastructure knowledge.
  • Design electrical control systems (mains & low voltage) and developing schematics based on equipment requirements.
  • Proficient in electrical/controls hardware selection for equipment design.
  • Design machine safety circuit and conducting Sistema calculations for attaining the performance level from the safety-related components used in design.
  • Knowledge of implementation and use cases of industrial communication protocols.
  • Ability to conduct EQ electrical checks.
  • Knowledge of electrical standards, codes, and safety practices.
  • Knowledge of panel layout design requirements.
  • Skill with hands-on engineering (panel build experience/field wiring & debugging).
  • PLC code structure and following good standards.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Work in a team environment working on projects with other engineers.
  • Proficient at managing time.
  • Basic knowledge of all areas covered in Equipment Design.
  • Knowledge of market brands of Hardware.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience on equipment in Pharma Industry.
  • API integration to equipment PC - PLC (communication protocols).
  • Electrical Design Engineering Degree.
  • Experience in Programming Language(s).

>
