About us

We're amicable, and we're changing how the world starts and ends relationships.

For decades, that's been a job for lawyers.

We think it's an emotional issue with legal and financial consequences, not the other way round.

So we disrupted the divorce industry: from one woman's trainwreck divorce to a lawtech scale-up of 100 people, drafting more consent orders than any traditional law firm.

Not a law firm, just technology and real human expertise, helping people through every stage of a relationship, from moving in together to divorce, and beyond.

Our values bring our purpose to life and make what we do and how we do it unique: we are Kind to everyone we encounter, we embrace Trust & Professionalism, with a quest for Customer Focus that drives us to be more Pioneering.

We are proud to be part of the Octopus Group.

About the role

We're growing fast, and we need someone to help us go from fast to warp speed: our new Head of Growth & Performance.

There's no team. You'll report straight to a co-founder, sitting alongside our Head of Brand & Comms and Head of CRM Lifecycle & CX.

We need a streetfighter, not a platform manager.

Someone brilliant across paid, but who gets restless with the obvious channels and hunts across owned and earned too: partnerships, community, influencers, podcasts, GEO.

Someone who drives outsized returns from a limited budget, not just spends a big one well.

You've climbed the ladder somewhere start-up or scale-up senior enough for real strategic judgement, but you never let go of the platforms.

You're a brilliant storyteller who can turn complex data into something a Co-founder can repeat in a board meeting.

And you're genuinely curious about our mission and the journey ahead, not just the next line on your CV.

Agency lifers, this one's not for you.

This is a hybrid role based in our Holborn office, working in the office 2 days per week, or more if you wish.

What you'll be doing

As our Head of Growth & Performance, you will be

  • Running and optimising what's already working across paid channels: Google, Meta, You Tube, Tik Tok and beyond. This is where a good chunk of your time goes.
  • Going beyond paid to find the owned and earned channels that actually move the needle: partnerships, community, influencers, podcasts and GEO.
  • Owning the full growth picture: acquisition, conversion, LTV: CAC, the lot, reporting straight to a co-founder.
  • Running fast, scrappy experiments rather than waiting for the perfect plan: quick tests, quick kills, doubled-down winners.
  • Using AI and automation to work faster than a team five times your size.
  • Turning the data into a story simple enough for a co-founder to take straight into a leadership meeting, and telling it well enough that people remember it.
  • Working closely with Brand & Comms and CRM & Lifecycle so growth, retention and brand all pull in the same direction.
  • Keeping on top of the sensitive-category realities of what we do: tracking, consent, first-party data, without it slowing you down.
  • What we need from you
  • Genuine start-up or scale-up experience, not just a client or corporate CV. You know what it's like when there's no big team or big budget behind you.
  • A streetfighter mentality: scrappy, resourceful, and happiest testing something fast rather than waiting for ideal conditions.
  • A real passion for changing the world, and genuine interest in our mission and the bigger journey amicable is on, not just the next line on your CV.
  • An excellent communicator and storyteller, who can turn complex, technical thinking into something simple enough for a co-founder to repeat word for word in a leadership meeting.
  • A genuinely rare mix of strategy and hands-on execution: someone who has climbed the ladder far enough to have real commercial judgement, but never let go of the platforms.
  • Comfort operating across paid, owned and earned, with a track record of driving outsized returns from a limited budget, not just spending a big one well.
  • A genuinely nosy streak: curiosity about how people behave, and where they actually hang out, that goes well beyond the obvious platforms.
  • If you've spent your career on the agency side managing other people's budgets, this probably isn't for you.

We need someone who's lived inside a business like this, not billed for one.

Compensation, perks & benefits

  • Salary: £70,000-£80,000 per year depending on skills, experience and location.
  • Private Health Insurance
  • Group Life Assurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays per annum
  • Hybrid working
  • Enhanced family leave
  • Electric Vehicle Scheme
  • Share Incentive Plan
  • Cycle to Work Scheme

We respect and value people’s differences and believe that our teams are at their bestwhen their members feel safe to bring their whole self to work.

We are committed to creating an inclusive experience as well as equal opportunities for growth and development for all.
