About Us

StoryTerrace turns life stories into books using professional writers, editors, designers, and its proprietary software platform. It is the market leader for ghostwritten memoirs in the UK and the US. We’re looking for a hands‑on Sales Team Lead to manage and develop our sales team as we scale across the UK and US. This role is London‑based (hybrid), reporting to the Marketing & Sales Director.

What you will do:

  • Lead and develop a remote & hybrid team of 7 sales agents across the UK and US
  • Drive delivery against targets through coaching, call listening, and clear performance management
  • Build a winning sales culture focused on quality conversations, accountability, and consistency
  • Own pipeline, KPIs, and sales activities using HubSpot
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop sales talent
  • Partner with Customer & Editorial teams to ensure smooth handovers
  • Test and refine sales approaches, including outbound for the PRO segment

What we are looking for:

  • 2+ years experience managing sales teams
  • Hands‑on phone sales experience, ideally selling bespoke, emotionally driven or premium products (understanding of US market a plus)
  • Strong sales skills and managerial presence, able to build trust and influence, and bring positive, contagious energy to the team
  • Highly proficient in HubSpot (and similar CRMs), using CRM data and insights to identify priorities and effectively manage sales teams
  • Confident coach, experienced in hiring and developing sales teams through regular feedback and tailored motivation
  • Results‑driven and disciplined, taking ownership of outcomes, working comfortably with targets
  • Collaborative, open to feedback, and able to thrive in a fast‑moving scale‑up environment

Compensation, Perks & Benefits:

  • Base salary £50k + monthly bonus (OTE £62k+)
