As part of Raylo’s Engineering team, you’ll play a central role in delivering a seamless customer experience across both our web and mobile platforms. You’ll be joining a fast-moving, mission-driven company at the forefront of the circular economy. Working in a cross-functional squad alongside product, design, and backend engineers, you’ll contribute to the development of new features, iterate on existing ones, and run A/B tests that directly impact user growth and business outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop and maintain high-quality, scalable frontend experiences across Raylo’s web and mobile applications using React and React Native.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers to define approaches to new features, solve technical challenges, and maintain system integrity.
- Stay current with industry trends and bring fresh perspectives into the team, advocating for modern best practices and scalable solutions.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and marketing teams to iterate on growth initiatives, such as A/B tests and new feature launches that improve the user journey.
- Work in an agile environment, taking ownership of your work from concept through to release and ongoing refinement.
- Help maintain a high-quality codebase through testing, code reviews, refactoring, and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement by contributing ideas for system and process enhancements, particularly in how we optimise for performance and scale.
You’ll Succeed with:
- 3+ years of frontend and/or mobile (React Native) engineering experience in a product-focused, agile, and fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript, with strong familiarity across the JavaScript ecosystem.
- Enthusiasm for sustainability and a desire to contribute to a product that reduces waste and improves accessibility.
- Hands-on experience with React and React Native for web and mobile app development.
- Understanding of testing frontend and react native code and ensuring quality through CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas and decisions with non-technical stakeholders.
- Bonus points for experience with server-side rendering Next.js or GraphQL.
