About the Role
As Banking Operations Manager, you'll play a broad, hands‑on role in shaping and scaling Weavr's embedded financial services infrastructure.
You'll sit at the intersection of Finance, Product, Technology, Operations, and Compliance, owning the operational lifecycle of card products and digital wallet capabilities, while also developing deep familiarity with the wider banking operations landscape, including payments infrastructure, financial services partner management, client funds operations, and scheme economics.
A core part of your remit will be the digitalisation and operational enablement of digital wallet products, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and tokenisation initiatives.
You'll be Weavr's subject‑matter expert and central point of contact for digital wallet operations, owning certification lifecycles, monitoring industry developments, and shaping how these capabilities are operationalised and evolved.
As digital wallets remain a critical product differentiator and a growing industry expectation, your leadership here will have direct and visible business impact.
Beyond digital wallets, this role is deliberately scoped to build broad operational expertise across all areas of the banking operations function.
You'll work closely with the Senior Banking Operations Manager, taking increasing ownership of complex workstreams, partner relationships, and cross‑functional initiatives.

- Contribute to business cases and impact assessments for new and existing scheme and banking partner fee changes.
- Develop and track performance metrics and KPIs for operational processes, providing regular reporting and actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
- Partner & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain operational relationships with external partners, including card schemes, processors, issuing banks, and digital wallet providers, ensuring alignment on requirements, timelines, and obligations.
- Provide clear, structured communication to internal and external stakeholders on project progress, risks, requirements, and partner obligations.
- Serve as a trusted operational counterpart for key partners, building credibility through deep product knowledge and reliable execution.
- Support strategic relationship management with senior partner contacts, with a view to taking increasing ownership over time.
- Programme & Workstream Management
- Manage multiple concurrent operational workstreams independently, with strong prioritisation, planning, and risk identification.
- Lead cross‑functional implementation efforts for new banking and card scheme partner onboarding, ensuring alignment with regulatory and commercial objectives.
- Ensure timely delivery of initiatives through structured planning and proactive internal and external communication.
- Provide regular, proactive updates to leadership on project status, key risks, and next steps, including MI, reporting, and presentations.
