We are looking for a Senior People Partner to join our small but ambitious people team. The right person will be pivotal in shaping our culture and ensuring a positive and professional employee life cycle across Story Plant, embedding our values and 'do it right' ethos. This is a brand-new role and a chance to make your mark, influence how we grow, and help us build capability as we integrate the Geotechnical team into our Plant operation and further develop our regional structure. In this role, you will be a trusted partner to our Regional Managers and leaders, ensuring our people feel supported, valued and set up for success.
Responsibilities:
- Building capability and confidence in senior and team leaders through coaching, mentoring and practical support
- Supporting the development of a consistent leadership approach across depots
- Providing calm, grounded guidance through ER cases
- Ensuring that our people initiatives are well designed, understood and deliver maximum potential return
- Supporting local engagement and recruitment activity
- Helping us become an employer of choice in the community
- Playing a key role in integrating the Geotechnical team into the wider company
- Supporting change in a positive, people-centred way
- Helping us embed new structures and ways of working smoothly
- Developing and reporting on people metrics to highlight any trends or issues and providing recommendations

- A generalist experienced across employee relations, coaching and people development

- Comfortable with change and organisational growth
- Able to influence with credibility and confidence
About Story Plant:
Story Plant provides plant hire services across England and Scotland with 4 Regional Depots; Birmingham, Doncaster, Carlisle and Salsburgh. The role will require an element of travel to each to support the teams but be predominantly based from Doncaster.
