Story Electrical Ltd is a growing, well-established electrical contractor based in Market Deeping, delivering high-quality electrical installations, maintenance, EV charging solutions, and fault-finding across domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors. We pride ourselves on professionalism, workmanship, and strong customer relationships.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an Approved Electrical Engineer to join our expanding team.
The Role
As an Approved Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of electrical works, including:
- Electrical installation, testing, and inspection works
- Fault-finding and remedial repairs
- Periodic Inspection & Testing (EICRs)
- Commercial and domestic installations
- EV chargepoint installation, servicing, and maintenance (training provided if required)
- Completing certification and job reports accurately
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and workmanship
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Approved Electrician status (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in domestic and commercial electrical work
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- 2391 or equivalent Testing & Inspection qualification
- EV charging experience (Rolec/Zappi etc.)
- ECS Gold Card
- Experience with fault-finding and remedial works
