Due to continued growth, we are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced full-time Senior Estimator to join our Eastern region, based at our Wakefield office with occasional travel to our head office in Carlisle. As a Senior Estimator reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will play a key role in securing profitable work and supporting the continued growth of our business. You’ll be at the heart of our work-winning strategy, using your expertise, commercial insight, and client-focused approach to deliver high-quality tenders and drive success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full tender process from initial enquiry through to submission
  • Prepare accurate, high-quality, and competitive tenders that deliver value for money
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure effective communication and seamless project handovers
  • Drive continuous improvement by enhancing processes and strengthening our work-winning capability

About You

We are looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and strong personal drive. You will ideally have:

  • HNC (or higher) in Construction, Built Environment, or a related field, or 10+ years of proven industry experience
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Windows and the full Office suite
  • Extensive experience of civil engineering estimating within the Rail, Highways, Water and Energy sectors.
  • A self‑motivated, resilient attitude with the ability to lead and influence
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in client‑facing environments
