We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to begin their story with Story Plant Ltd. We are looking for someone who embodies our values of being hardworking, grounded, and proud of the work they do. Location is flexible across our operating depots in Carlisle, Doncaster and Birmingham.

As Transport Planner you will use your excellent organisational skills to oversee the day-to-day operations of the transport provision for Story, ensuring that Plant allocation and haulage is carried out effectively and efficiently, meeting our customer needs and legal requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of Plant and haulage
  • CPC certified - desirable
  • Excellent regional geographic knowledge
  • Good working knowledge of Construction and Rail industry - desirable
  • Experience in resource management
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
