Join Our Commercial Team as a Commercial Assistant. We’re looking for a Commercial Assistant to join our Commercial team in the South & Central region and play a key role in keeping our projects organised, accurate and moving forward. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the region, supporting day-to-day commercial activity and helping ensure everything adds up.
What you’ll be doing:
- Producing timely reports to support the commercial team during month-end reporting
- Assisting with variation pricing and change control processes
- Working with other functions to provide information for periodic KPI reporting
- Supporting project teams to ensure timely payments to the supply chain by processing Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and payment certificates
- Supporting cash flow reporting and cost-to-complete forecasting
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date commercial records
About you:
- Interested in construction and civils, with a good awareness of how commercial teams support projects
- Comfortable using Excel and IT systems; experience with COINS would be an advantage, but isn’t essential
- Eager to learn, develop and build a long-term career within the commercial function
- An understanding of construction contracts and measurement would be helpful, or a willingness to learn and develop these skills
