Yard Technician

We are thrilled to be recruiting for this established, friendly and industry leading business in Ware who are seeking a conscientious, hard working and organised new employee to join their Yard team on an initial 6 month temporary basis. A calming, but confident and logical approach to communicating with people both internally and externally, with proven background in a similar role essential here. Whilst initially a temporary role, there is absolutely chances for this to be made permanent for the right person at the end of this 6 month period, either within this role or other parts of the business. Key responsibilities include: Maintaining the yard’s cleanliness and organisation at all times, ensuring that the stores and yard are organised and hazard free. Management of on-site skips, making sure materials are correctly disposed of. Performing quality checks on machinery and equipment, recording any defects and forwarding any concerns to the Transport Compliance Administrator. Adhering to company Health and Safety policies and procedures. Assisting with other parts of the business where required including the warehouse and transport team.
