As the Financial Controller, you will be a key part of the finance team with ambitious growth plans and a real desire to drive value creation through finance-led reporting and insight. Working closely with the Finance Director and business leaders, the role will be responsible for the management of the business’ core finance and reporting outputs across the group. You will build strong relationships and drive improvements to help this fast-paced business continue to thrive and will enjoy an environment that encourages the development of skills, knowledge and experience and offers long-term career progression. Main responsibilities:
- Have full responsibility for month end management accounts preparation including Profit & loss, Cashflow and balance sheet reporting.
- Preparation of the monthly results and KPIs for Board pack reporting.
- Business partner with the Senior Leadership Team.
- Develop, implement and monitor strategy, controls and procedures for the department and the business.
- Advise senior management on liquidity and financing opportunities.
- Ensure all regulatory filings are complete (VAT / PAYE / Companies House etc.).
- Cash flow forecasting and management.
- Improve efficiency and reduce costs across the business.
- Oversee and get involved with payroll processing.
- Participate and take responsibility for annual and interim audits.
- Mentor and support the development of the other team members.
- Overseeing and managing the budget setting, forecasting, and reporting requirements.
- Develop management information and KPIs.
- Financial accounts preparation.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Ensure that financial controls are in place, maintained and developed.
- Contribute to improving current processes and systems.
- Participating in projects to drive insight into data and deliver solution.
- Support the Finance Director with any ad hoc workstreams.
