I'm excited to be working with an established manufacturing business based in Witham. They are looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller to join their senior management team. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong team focus. Offering broad exposure across financial control, operational finance, reporting, cash flow management, and business partnering. Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, you’ll ideally have experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or stock-led environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial performance, strengthening controls, and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations including sales ledger, purchase ledger, general ledger, and banking activities
  • Lead monthly management accounts preparation, reconciliations, and financial analysis
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and support working capital optimisation
  • Oversee payroll, pensions, and employee benefits processes
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, VAT regulations, and internal controls
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
