Finance Assistant

St Albans Town Centre | Part-time 24–28 hours | Hybrid

£30,000–£34,000 FTE (pro rata)

StormX Recruitment is working closely with a brilliant, multi-site company with a head office in St. Albans to recruit a part-time Finance Assistant.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work closely with another Finance Assistant and play an important role in supporting the day-to-day finance function across the business and its customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Managing supplier accounts and resolving queries
• Bank reconciliations and general bookkeeping
• Supporting payment runs and cash management
• Assisting with credit control and debtor management
• Supporting month-end processes and financial reporting
• Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets
• Processing and monitoring property-related costs and expenditure
• Assisting with the accounting and administration of property management transactions
• Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider finance team

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar role, with good knowledge of transactional finance and bookkeeping.

You will be organised, accurate and confident working with Excel and financial systems.

The Package

• 24–28 hours per week
• £30,000–£34,000 FTE, pro rata
• Hybrid working – 1 day per week in St Albans town centre
• Remaining days working from home or from the office
• Parking provided
• Supportive finance team and direct reporting to the Finance Manager
