This role will be pivotal in developing the finance team during this growth period, working closely with the UK Managing Director (previously CFO) and the Financial Controller.
About the role
As the successful Finance Assistant, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for the following duties:
- Maintain Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable records on company ERP.
- Completing bank reconciliations.
- Invoice processing and data entry.
- Maintaining current and accurate bank account records.
- Keying/processing electronic payments.
- Managing queries from internal parties and external customers and clients.
- Completing monthly vendor and customer account reconciliations.
- Supporting preparation of monthly reports.
- Assisting with the implementation and updating of policies, procedures and processes.
- Assisting with statutory and other returns to external bodies.
- Liaising with auditors and other finance professionals as required.
The Successful Applicant
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role, including invoicing, journal posting and account reconciliation.
- Experience in using ERP software (Sage desirable).
- Ability to multi-task and be well organized.
- Good communication.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
