The role and what you'll be getting up to on a day-to-day basis:
We're looking for a highly skilled Modern Workplace Lead to join our Infrastructure team. This is a pivotal customer-facing role where you'll combine technical expertise, mentoring, thought leadership and strategic planning to help our clients maximise the value of their Microsoft End User Computing (EUC) environments. Aligned to two of our key clients, you'll act as a trusted advisor, escalation point and technical lead, helping shape the future of their Microsoft workplace technologies while supporting and developing colleagues within the team.
You Will:
- Acting as the technical escalation point for complex Modern Workplace and Intune-related issues.
- Providing expert support across Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Management, Defender and Endpoint Analytics.
- Mentoring engineers and sharing technical knowledge to support team development.
- Supporting major incidents as a technical specialist and helping drive successful outcomes.
- Reviewing and approving high-risk technical changes.
- Identifying and implementing automation opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Leading technical projects and supporting the onboarding of new customers.
- Monitoring Microsoft's roadmap and identifying opportunities to introduce new capabilities and services to clients.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to customers, providing thought leadership and strategic guidance.
- Contributing to service design improvements, change proposals and roadmap development.
- Resolving complex and sensitive technical tickets while ensuring SLA and KPI compliance.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the broader Modern Workplace ecosystem, including areas such as Endpoint Analytics, Defender vulnerabilities, Intune Remediations, Storage Sense, device compliance and modern endpoint management. Experience with Apple device management and Jamf would be advantageous, but training can be provided.
We need a candidate with:
- Experience working within an MSP or enterprise IT environment.
- Strong experience managing Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender and Endpoint Analytics.
- Experience leveraging new Microsoft technologies and roadmap releases.
- Strong automation experience and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Windows image creation, build and deployment experience.
- Active Directory administration skills.
- Strong PowerShell Scripting capability.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to mentor and support colleagues.
- A customer-first attitude and passion for delivering excellent service.
