We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team, providing high-quality care to adults with learning disabilities (ALD) and/or mental health needs. You will play a key role in promoting independence, wellbeing, and meaningful daily living. Day and night shifts are available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support in line with individual care plans.
  • Assist with personal care, daily living tasks, meal preparation, and medication prompts.
  • Support individuals with community access, activities, and social engagement.
  • Promote independence, dignity, choice, and positive risk-taking.
  • Manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
  • Contribute to a safe, supportive environment during day or night shifts.

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting adults with learning disabilities or mental health conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Understanding of person-centred care and positive behaviour support.
  • Basic IT and record-keeping skills.

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Training in safeguarding, first aid, medication, or PBS.
  • Experience in supported living, residential care, or community-based services.

Shift Options

  • Day Shifts: Supporting individuals with routines, activities, appointments, and community participation.
  • Night Shifts: Ensuring safety, wellbeing, and continuity of care throughout the night (waking nights or sleep-ins).
