This is perfect for someone who is passionate about promoting a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation. As a key member of the team, you\’ll play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of health and safety across the organisation. In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for supporting the Health and Safety Manager in a variety of essential tasks such as conducting risk assessments, delivering health and safety training, facilitating toolbox talks, and carrying out site inspections. You will be the go-to person for health and safety compliance, making sure our practices align with current laws and guidelines. Responsibilities: Support the Health and Safety Manager with compliance and legislative requirements. Conduct risk assessments and develop safe systems of work. Facilitate health and safety training and toolbox talks for employees. Carry out site inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on health and safety matters. Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation. Utilize your PC skills for report writing and data management. Profile of a Successful Candidate: Hold a relevant health and safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH). Experience in a similar health and safety role, ideally within HR. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
