About the Employer

Storm Maintenance Ltd provides professional property maintenance, 24/7 emergency call-outs, and fire safety compliance services across London and the South East. They handle plumbing, electrical faults, heating, and general property repairs for residential and commercial clients.

What You'll Do

  • Assist qualified electricians with reactive electrical repairs and maintenance
  • Attend residential and commercial properties to investigate reported electrical faults
  • Assist with fault finding and diagnosing electrical problems
  • Assist with the repair and replacement of sockets, switches, light fittings and other electrical accessories
  • Support electricians with lighting faults, power failures and other reactive electrical issues
  • Assist with testing and inspection activities under appropriate supervision
  • Help identify materials and parts required to complete repairs
  • Safely prepare and maintain tools, equipment and materials
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and tidy
  • Communicate professionally with customers, clients and the Storm Maintenance office team
  • Provide accurate updates on jobs and report any additional works identified
  • Take photographs and provide information required for job records
  • Learn how to complete relevant electrical documentation and job reports correctly
  • Follow safe isolation procedures and electrical safety requirements under the supervision of a qualified electrician
  • Follow Storm Maintenance's health and safety policies and working procedures at all times
  • Attend college or training sessions and complete all required apprenticeship coursework and assessments

Training Outcome

On successful completion of the apprenticeship and required qualifications, there may be opportunities to progress into a Plumber / Maintenance Engineer position with Storm Maintenance, taking responsibility for your own reactive maintenance jobs and continuing to develop your technical skills and experience.
