About the role
This hands‑on delivery role is key to our Project Management Office. You will lead multiple concurrent complex digital projects from discovery to delivery, working closely with clients, delivery teams and senior stakeholders. You’ll own scope, budget, governance and delivery momentum while building long‑term client relationships and mentoring junior colleagues.
What you’ll do:
- Own project initiation, defining delivery approaches, governance models, plans, milestones and success metrics.
- Collaborate with clients to understand needs, define requirements and provide regular progress updates.
- Act as the senior point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and ensuring clear communication.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts and change control, maintaining commercial integrity and escalating risks when required.
- Drive delivery momentum by proactively identifying, managing and mitigating risks, dependencies and issues.
- Work with Head of PMO and Production to plan and manage resources effectively.
- Motivate and inspire multidisciplinary project teams, providing guidance and direction.
- Maintain project backlogs and delivery tracking using tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Participate in retrospectives, identify improvement areas and implement best practices.
- Mentor and support junior Project Managers to develop PMO capabilities.
About you

- Strong experience delivering multiple digital projects concurrently.
- Confidence leading teams of designers, engineers, researchers and stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of delivery approaches (waterfall, agile, hybrid) and when to apply them.
- Proven experience managing budgets, forecasts and change control.
- Ability to build credibility and trust with clients at all levels, handling challenges constructively.
- Excellent communication skills that are clear, calm and confident, even under pressure.
- Pragmatic, solutions‑focused mindset with strong risk and issue management skills.
- Experience mentoring or supporting other Project Managers.

Work arrangement
Storm ID offers a flexible hybrid working environment. We welcome candidates local to our Edinburgh office who can commit to a few days a week onsite.
