Are you a Project Manager with a passion for driving digital transformation? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment, leading teams to deliver outstanding results for clients? If so, we want you to be part of our innovative digital consultancy! Storm ID is an Edinburgh-based digital transformation consultancy that helps organisations accelerate their use of digital, data and AI. We believe in tailored solutions, assembling expert teams to address each client's unique needs. Our services span strategy, design, technology and data & AI, ensuring seamless end-to-end delivery of platforms, products and services with real-world impact.

What sets us apart is our commitment to long‑lasting, data‑driven, user‑centered change. We enjoy close collaboration between our teams, ensuring projects move smoothly from discovery to design to delivery. We recognise the crucial link between digital and data, creating intelligent services that leverage both. We work with a range of clients across the Scottish and UK public and private sectors.

We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our Project Management Office and take real ownership of digital project delivery. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll run projects end‑to‑end, from initiation through to completion, acting as the primary point of contact your clients rely on throughout. You’ll manage digital projects across their full lifecycle, working closely with clients, multidisciplinary delivery teams and internal stakeholders. You’ll own scope, budgets, plans and governance, and be trusted to keep delivery moving and keep clients informed at every stage. No two projects are the same, and you will work across a variety of projects, sectors and services, picking up new challenges and building your skills as you go. You’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive PMO where learning is encouraged and delivery quality matters. We’re proud of the relationships we build with clients, and we are looking for someone who shares that ethos.

About you

We know that many Project Managers will come from a variety of backgrounds, and we encourage and value people who bring unique perspectives and knowledge to our team. You’re someone who takes genuine ownership of your projects, are comfortable making decisions, solving problems and keeping delivery moving in a fast‑paced consultancy environment. You bring a collaborative style that gets the best from the people around you, and you’re confident managing client relationships alongside internal multidisciplinary delivery teams.

  • Experience delivering digital projects end‑to‑end, from initiation through to completion and handover
  • A working knowledge of agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches, and the judgement to apply the right one
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, time recording and change control
  • The ability to build strong client relationships, managing expectations clearly and handling challenges with professionalism
  • Strong risk and issue management skills, with a solutions‑focused mindset that keeps things moving
  • Clear, confident communication skills that work equally well in a client meeting and a team stand‑up
  • Adaptable, empathetic and confident at coordinating multidisciplinary teams, designers, engineers, testers, etc, and maintaining delivery momentum
  • Organised and detail‑oriented, with the ability to hold multiple projects and priorities at once without dropping the ball
  • Demonstrable AI literacy; you’ll be expected to use AI tools confidently as part of your day‑to‑day practice, from automating routine tasks to improving the quality and speed of your outputs, so you can stay focused on what matters most: delivery momentum and client outcomes

One more thing – research indicates that marginalised groups of people may not apply for jobs unless they meet 100% of the qualifications. We also know that Project Managers come from many backgrounds. We value people who bring unique perspectives and new knowledge to our team. If you believe you're qualified, but don't "tick all the boxes", please submit an application.

What you'll do

As a Project Manager, reporting to the Head of PMO, you’ll own the day‑to‑day management and end‑to‑end delivery of digital projects, ensuring they land on time, within budget and to a high standard. Here are some examples to give you a flavour of what you'll do:

  • Own end‑to‑end project delivery using the right methodology, agile, hybrid, waterfall, from initiation through to completion and transition
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, define project requirements, and provide regular updates on project progress, ensuring transparency and alignment
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts and change control, keeping a close eye on commercial performance and escalating risks early
  • Own and actively manage project scope, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, keeping your RAID log live and acting before things become blockers
  • Motivate and inspire project teams, providing guidance, support and direction to ensure successful project delivery
  • Maintain accurate project tracking in tools like Azure DevOps and Float, producing delivery highlight reports for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Support quality assurance, UAT coordination and go‑live planning, ensuring projects transition clearly into warranty or BAU
  • Contribute to lessons learned, champion delivery best practices and support the growth of junior team members
