Preparation of preventive corrective extraordinary maintenance and Minor Maintenance Modifications including work packs considering time resources materials equipment/tools in line with SHEQ policies and procedures of ONEGas.
Tasks and Responsibilities as Mechanical Work Preparator:
- Prepare work in SAP in accordance with maintenance team KPIs and compile hardcopy work packs where necessary;
- Meet the construction requirements and standards of originators and sponsors of proposed changes;
- Liaise with Maintenance Team Lead regarding design innovation cost reduction solutions and identify areas where suitable improvements can be made;
- Challenge where appropriate the existing standards and procedures;
- Ensure all work to be executed complies with the offshore QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment) responsibilities;
- Support and assist the Maintenance Team Leads in their responsibilities/duties;
- Check material that is ordered;
- Role model in safe work preparation and safe working practices;
- Responsible for the intelligibility of the content of the work packs for the offshore workforce;
- Assist with the resolving of conflicts between simultaneous jobs at the offshore location in order to meet production targets;
- Liaise with repair contractors manufacturers vendors and engineering department where necessary;
- Ensure integrity of data stored in maintenance support systems such as SAP is accurate;
- Identify proposed engineering changes repairs or constructions that are not like for like and liaise with Engineering departments.

Specific Requirements for the Mechanical Work Preparator:
- Some industry experience;
- Develops a pro-active attitude aimed at solving issues and helping drive down backlogs reactive tasks;
- Qualified to minimum of HNC in Mechanical Engineering;
- Competent in use of appropriate codes of practices standards and relevant sections of statutory documentation;
- Competent in use of design and assessment methods used within discipline;
- Competent in use of analytical methods used within discipline and aware of theoretical background for analysis programs;
- Competent in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work;
- Competent in design safety/environmental requirements procedures and responsibilities;
- Computer literate;
- Knowledge of monitoring and controlling budgets with associated discipline maintenance activities.
