We are looking for an experienced and driven data engineer to join our London-based data team and help us build a platform that accelerates a decentralised-by-design data adoption model within the business. We care about trustable, usable data and we want you to bring your technical expertise to make that happen. You’re a software engineer at heart, you thrive in the data domain and care deeply about customer outcome-focused engineering excellence.
Day to day, you will build observable, scalable and resilient data services that ingest data from source systems into consuming applications such as our data warehouse to meet the needs of analytics engineers and stakeholders. You will make significant contributions to solution designs, provide technical guidance to other team members and champion iterative approaches to software delivery.

Data & AI powers our growth and innovation. We have a growing data and AI team in the UK and Netherlands. We function as the backbone for a variety of data-hungry consumers and platforms across the business within Marketing, Finance, Operations and Product teams. Our AI photo services are at the heart of our consumer experience and we’re expanding our footprint towards decentralised ML adoption within the business.

Experience:
- Experience in data engineering, including designing and maintaining robust data pipelines.
- Proficient in SQL and relational databases; familiarity with modern data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake is preferred.
- Proficient in programming, capable of developing and maintaining tested, production-ready data solutions, preferably in Python.
- Familiarity with major cloud providers and their data services, concrete experience in building production-grade data solutions on AWS is a plus.
- Experience with data orchestration and workflow management tools such as Airflow.
- Solid understanding of data ingestion, transformation, and ETL practices.
- A degree in a STEM field, e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics.
- Familiarity with data integration tools such as Fivetran.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, like Terraform.
- Familiarity with data transformation frameworks such as DBT.
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools, such as GitHub Actions.
- Experience in data modeling and warehouse architecture design.
