Who We Are

Stories & Ink makes cruelty-free, vegan tattoo care, independently in the UK. We are building the leading global tattoo aftercare brand. But more than that, we are a cultural platform for the tattoo community: the artists, the collectors, the studios, and the culture that holds all of it together. We are early in our growth journey. The team is small and the pace is real. What we build now will define the brand for the next decade.

The Role

We are looking for a Content & Social Lead who makes things. Not someone who writes decks about making things, someone who actually makes them and has the portfolio to prove it. This is a high-ownership, high-autonomy role. You will run the content operation day-to-day: strategy, production, calendar, creators and community. There is no large team behind you. What there is, is genuine creative authority over how this brand shows up on TikTok, on Instagram, and everywhere in between. This is execution-heavy by design. If you are looking for a role where you brief others and review output, this isn’t it. If you want to build something from scratch and have it be yours, please keep reading.

What You Will Own

  • TikTok organic content (concept, filming, posting)
  • Instagram (feed, stories, reels)
  • Content calendar across both platforms, with clear frequency KPIs
  • Brief and review management of a Fiverr video editor
  • Affiliate and creator pipeline (sourcing, onboarding, product seeding, ongoing management)
  • Outreach VA management via Fiverr
  • UGC sourcing and repurposing
  • Brand voice on social (tone, aesthetic, taste)
  • Community management (DMs, comments, engagement)
  • On-location content capture in tattoo studios (solo or with a small production team)

What We Are Looking For

You have built a content operation before e.g. workflow, cadence, freelancer management, scaled output. You understand what high-volume content production looks like operationally and you can run one without hand-holding. You can read performance data and shift the content mix without being told to. You know the difference between content that looks good in a deck and content that performs on a feed.

You have managed creator or affiliate programmes with real volume. You have briefed editors, sourced UGC, and dealt with the unglamorous operational side of social and you are fine with that, because you care about the output. You have a genuine interest in and respect for tattoo culture. You understand its nuances, its community, its artists. You don’t need that explained to you. Most importantly: you make things. Show us a portfolio of content you actually produced.

Experience and Skills

We are interested in what you can demonstrate, not how long you have been doing it. We would expect to see:

  • A strong portfolio of social content you made (ideally TikTok or Reels with real traction)
  • Experience running a creator or affiliate programme at meaningful scale
  • Evidence of managing freelancers or contractors effectively
  • Familiarity with DTC or e-commerce brand dynamics (if your background is agency, show us work that demonstrates commercial ownership and brand accountability and we will consider it)
  • Comfort working independently in a lean, fast-moving team

What 'Lead' Means Here

You will have creative authority over the content output of this brand. That’s real ownership — not a title attached to someone else’s decisions. What it doesn’t mean: a large team, long strategy cycles, or a slow pace. We are a growing independent brand. The person in this role arrived knowing how to run the operation. What we provide is brand context, commercial targets, and creative guardrails. You run it from there.

Salary and Benefits

Competitive salary depending on experience. Hybrid working (London, Falmouth and remote, with flexibility).

Equal Opportunities

Stories & Ink is committed to equal opportunities in employment. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation. If you require any reasonable adjustments during the application or interview process, please let us know.

To Apply

Please send us your CV and a portfolio of content you made. No portfolio, no application. That’s the only non-negotiable.
