OVERVIEW The SDR is responsible for generating new business opportunities for StoreForce by identifying, contacting, and qualifying prospects from the assigned targeted list. You will interact with prospects through various communication channels including email, social media messaging, phone calls, and marketing events. You will support sales executives to manage leads through the sales pipeline by understanding the prospect’s business challenges and goals. As well as assessing sales opportunities, set up appointments, follow up on leads, and track progress toward sales goals. The SDR will respond to inquiries resulting from marketing awareness campaigns. This role reports to the Sales Development Manager and is fully remote based.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Prospecting Carry out inbound and outbound sales prospecting. Identify key decision makers and/or key influencers within a prospect’s organization as per defined Buyer’s Personas. Perform active outreach by email, various social channels, and phone calls by using available information. Draft effective personalized messaging to generate interest and start a two-way conversation with prospect. Set up all qualified meetings with Sales Executives.
  • Data Management Maintain and manage assigned accounts by using in-house tools including intent data and CRM systems. Keep account profiles current by updating personas, contact information, store counts, and other relevant data. Use contact identification and cleaning tools for networking, new contact identification, and adding them to accounts.
  • Research Research target prospects, identify key players, understand their pain points, and business goals. Stay up-to-date on market trends, competition, and industry developments. Proactively research prospect’s latest news, annual reports, publications, social media, and relevant StoreForce Resources, incorporating learnings into our CRM.
  • Discovery and Demo Participate in discovery calls in support of the Sales Executives. Support Sales Executives by ensuring the demo system is tailored with proper demo content per prospect based on prospect discovery learnings. Participate remotely in Sales demos with Sales Executives as required. Collaborate with internal teams to build a strong understanding of retail prospect’s needs when preparing for a demo. Contribute to the demo process by providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Sales Support Generate sales collaterals on an as-needed basis to support Sales Executives by monitoring the industry trends and prospect feedback during Discovery and Demos. Support Sales and Marketing team with event participation, as required.

  • Problem Solving – Distinguishes between symptoms and causes; able to see multiple parts and the relationships in order to identify and resolve the root issue; generates alternative solutions.

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE

  • Proven work experience as an SDR, Sales Account Executive or similar role, preferably in a SaaS organization.
  • 3+ years' experience working in a retail environment.
  • Strong communicator, with an ability to build relationships with prospects by phone, social networks, and email.
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Ability to think outside the box when researching leads and finding new and creative ways to show how the StoreForce Solution can help the prospect achieve their goals.
  • Tenacious – persistence to overcome obstacles.
  • Articulate – able to address prospective clients’ concerns with clear and concise solutions.
  • Experience working with Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator; Salesforce certification an asset.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in retail and / or retail systems is an asset.
