StoreBoost is a fast-growing business sitting at the intersection of technology, data and creativity. We pioneer retail proximity marketing, helping brands reach shoppers at exactly the right moment, in exactly the right place - using machine learning to optimise advertising effectiveness. We are a small, ambitious team that bets on early talent. The people who join us at this stage get real responsibility, direct access to experienced founders, and the space to find out what they are genuinely good at.
This is a client-facing, commercial role, and it suits someone who gets a kick out of finding the right solution for a client, closing a deal, and seeing the direct impact of their work on a growing business. If you are entrepreneurial, hungry to learn, and ready to build something, read on!
About You
You have already tried to build something. Maybe it was a brand, a TikTok shop, a website, a student project, or just an idea you couldn’t stop thinking about. Maybe it worked, maybe it didn’t, but you learned more from it than any lecture ever taught you. That hunger to make something real, that’s what we are after. You are commercially curious, you like talking to people, you pick up new concepts quickly, and you don’t wait to be told what to do. You read about a trend on Sunday and bring it up in a meeting on Monday. You want to be somewhere that throws real things at you from day one. Real clients, decisions and consequences. Not a place where you shadow someone for six months, inherit someone else’s processes, and spend your first year at the bottom of a pile. If that sounds familiar, keep reading. If it doesn’t, this probably isn’t the right role for you.
We are hiring for attitude first, everything else is teachable. That said, it helps if you have:
- Some experience in a sales, commercial or client-facing environment, whether that’s a placement year, a part-time job, freelance work, or something you built yourself
- A genuine interest in marketing, ad tech, or how brands grow
- Confidence in conversation, pitching an idea, making a case, or just holding a room
- Enough organisation to manage your own work without being chased
- The resilience to treat rejection as a data point and keep moving
- Comfort picking up new tools quickly and figuring things out as you go
What You’ll Be Doing
This is a sales role at its core, but the way you will do it here looks nothing like a traditional one. You will be working directly alongside the founders, in meetings with real clients from week one, contributing to pitches and helping shape how StoreBoost grows. Our product is genuinely exciting to sell. StoreBoost’s ad platform delivers proximity-optimised dynamic campaigns across malls, airports and high streets in the UK and Europe, helping some of the world’s best brands in beauty, tech, fashion and beyond reach shoppers at exactly the right moment. You will get to know it inside out.
Day to day:
- Identifying and reaching out to potential clients on both the brand and agency side
- Building and managing your own pipeline, with support, but genuine ownership
- Creating proposals and responding to client briefs
- Hosting meetings, calls, demos and presentations
- Attending industry events and building your own network
- Working closely with product, tech and ops so your ideas go somewhere
- Keeping on top of industry trends, competitor moves and what’s landing in the market
- Contributing to workshops, brainstorms and sessions that shape the direction of the business
What You’ll Get
Most early career roles give you a job description and a manager. We give you something harder to find: a seat at the table from day one, working alongside founders and a tight-knit team of experienced people who will share their knowledge, open doors, and back your development well beyond the scope of this role. You won’t be boxed into a job spec. You’ll get to discover what you’re naturally good at, double down on it, and shape the role around your strengths. For the right person, that’s worth more than any grad scheme.
We also offer:
- Flexible working
- Great office in Farringdon with communal events and shared building with other creative companies (and a resident dog!)
- 25 days holiday
- Bike to work scheme
- Pension
- Salary: £TBC
One last thing: This isn’t a role where you will be told what to do and left to get on with it. We will push you, back you, and invest in you. In return we want someone who brings the same energy to the table. Tell us what you have built, tried, or broken, and why StoreBoost is where you want to take it next.
