About the role
Hi, I’m Jo, the Nursery Manager at Wragby Road. With 28 years of experience in early years education and an NNEB qualification, I began my journey as a Nursery Nurse and have since worked with children of all ages from newborns upwards. I lead a passionate and dedicated team who support every child’s growth, development and happiness. We value the relationships we build with families and offer rich, engaging activities in a warm, nurturing environment. Our outdoor area includes an exciting log cabin for enriched learning, dedicated gardens for each age group, and free-flow access for under-3s to ensure children can explore, learn and thrive. We partner with families through stay-and-play sessions, parent information evenings, and open communication.

Responsibilities
- As a Nursery Cook, assist in preparing nutritious, freshly made meals while maintaining high safety and hygiene standards in the nursery kitchen at all times.
- Cater for children with specific dietary needs.
- Follow relevant Food and Hygiene, Environmental Health, Health and Safety, and Ofsted guidelines and regulations.
- Ensure children are kept safe and have rich, stimulating eating experiences.
- Maintain stock levels and stock rotation.
- Follow COSHH and other relevant guidelines.
What You\’ll Need
- Level 2 Food and Hygiene
- Experience in a commercial kitchen as an assistant cook/chef or similar role
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
