Location - 1 Park Rd, Birstall, Leicester LE4 3AX

Hours - Full Time, 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary - Up to £13.75ph depending on experience and qualifications to be discussed

About you

  • You are a Level 2 or above qualified, Senior Leader / Senior Practitioner / Room Leader or similar who thrives on leading by example, and inspiring others to be the best that they can be.
  • You love supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children, and motivating others to do the same.
  • You have a natural, nurturing openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.

What you'll be doing

  • Day to day, you will deliver care to the children whilst also supervising your team.
  • You will identify areas for improvements whether that relates to learning and teaching techniques or, creating more stimulating experiences and environments.
  • You will embrace inclusivity to ensure the individual needs of all those within your room are met.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring all record keeping requirements are regularly completed, as well as conducting your team appraisals.
  • As the Senior Early Years Educator (Nursery Room Leader) you will work in partnership with other Room Leads and management team to ensure the successful running of the nursery.

What you’ll need

  • A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years
  • Proven experience working as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner)
  • Demonstrable leadership experience (within Early Years)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
