The first yurt-based outdoor nursery school, Farley Sparsholt really is a nursery like no other. We are looking for passionate and ambitious Assistant Nursery Cook who will prepare nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared meals and be responsible for the safe and hygienic management of the nursery kitchen. This nursery is part of Storal, a group of nurseries across England.
About the job:
- Provide balanced and nutritional meals for all children attending the nursery and catering for children with specific dietary needs
- Instill Storal Values to Food and Hygiene and compliance with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health-Food Safety, Health and Safety and within the guidelines of Ofsted
- Ensure all children are kept safe and have rich stimulating experiences
- Maintaining stock levels and ensuring stock rotation
- To be aware of COSHH and follow relevant guidelines
- To deputise for the Cook in all absences with the expectation of deputising full time when this is required
About you:
- Level 2 Food and Hygiene
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role
- Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
- Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together
