How you’ll spend your time here:
- You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed, which could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or vacancy gaps.
- Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.
- You’ll start most of your days with a fully formulated plan, but pivoting when circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care.
- Creativity is key; teaching young children allows for hands-on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games.
- It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to engage attention spans while working within the EYFS standards.
We’d love to talk to you if you have the following:
- Ideally hold a Level 2 or above qualification as an Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar.
- You enjoy supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children.
- You have a natural, nurturing openness, a warm and positive outlook, and care about learning and education standards in the UK.
- We can sometimes consider unqualified Educators who demonstrate the necessary values and enthusiasm for working within this environment.
What you'll need:
- A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years.
- Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5 is advantageous.
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable.
