Two beautifully converted, large Victorian homes are where you’ll find our Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ Hemsley House Nursery School in Maidstone.

We are looking for passionate and ambitious Nursery Chef / Cook who will prepare nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared meals and be responsible for the safe and hygienic management of the nursery kitchen.

About the job

  • Provide balanced and nutritional meals for all children attending the nursery and catering for children with specific dietary needs
  • Instill Storal Values to Food and Hygiene and compliance with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health-Food Safety, Health ad Safety and within the guidelines of Ofsted
  • Ensure all children are kept safe and have rich stimulating experiences
  • Maintaining stock levels and ensuring stock rotation
  • To be aware of COSHH and follow relevant guidelines
  • To deputise for the Cook in all absences with the expectation of deputising full time when this is required

About you

  • Level 2 Food and Hygiene
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
  • Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together

Salary : From £10.47 up to £12.47 per hour based on experience and qualifications
