How you’ll spend your time here

  • You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps.
  • Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.
  • You’ll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan that will soon get completely derailed though. Pivoting when circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care!
  • Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games.
  • It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged.
  • Of course we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.

We’d love to talk to you if you have the following

  • You enjoy supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children and were born to teach and shape the future of our younger generations.
  • You have a natural, nurturing, openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.
  • You’re a Level 2 or above qualified early years educator / practitioner / nursery nurse, or similar, and you're looking for a role that allows you flexibility of working shifts around your other commitments.
  • We also consider unqualified educators, so if you can demonstrate the right values, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for caring for and supporting others, we’d love to hear from you.

Desirable, but not essential

  • Full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years.
  • Experience as an early years educator or having worked with children under the age of 5.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
  • Reflecting the values around responsibility, openness and working together.

Benefits for You

  • Financial and practical benefits – enhanced holidays, paid sick pay, extra wellness day off (yearly) and pre‑pay options.
  • Family matters – childcare discount + funding, compassionate leave & enhanced maternity leave.
  • Health & wellness – gym discount, free movie tickets, fertility & menopause support, partnerships with Vitality & Peppy.
  • Development – micro‑learning, financial stability tools & support fund.
  • Community – termly inset days, team member app and awards.

Safeguarding & Compliance Storal sets the highest standards when it comes to safeguarding, the welfare of children and creating a work environment that encourages feedback and resilience. We take our role in the safety of children, families and our team extremely seriously.
