Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, Full Time

Salary: £15 per hour, dependent on qualification and experience

Are you looking for a Chef role with variety and flexibility? In this role, you’ll work across multiple Storal nurseries, supporting our kitchen teams by providing holiday, sickness and operational cover. You’ll gain experience in different settings, build relationships with a range of teams, and further develop your skills while ensuring children receive nutritious, freshly prepared meals every day. If you have Level 2 Food Hygiene, kitchen experience and a passion for creating nutritious meals for children, we’d love to hear from you!

About you

You are a dedicated, Level 2 Food and Hygiene qualified cook with a solid understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH, looking for a new role in a fun, friendly team.

What you'll be doing

  • Catering for children with specific dietary needs
  • Working to an extremely high level on Food and Hygiene, Chartered Institute of Environmental Health-Food Safety, Health and Safety and Ofsted guidelines and regulations
  • Ensuring that all children are kept safe and have rich stimulating eating experiences
  • Maintaining stock levels and ensuring stock rotation
  • Following COSHH and other relevant guidelines

What you'll need

  • Level 2 Food and Hygiene
  • Experience in a commercial kitchen as an assistant cook/chef or similar
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
