Hi, my name is Sara and I am the Nursery Manager at Children 1st Meir Park Nursery. We have a solid team at Meir Park and we all work closely together to make it the outstanding nursery that it is. We are all extremely passionate and dedicated about making sure that our children reach their full potential each and every day.
About you:
- You are a Level 2 or above qualified Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar who enjoys supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children.
- You have a natural, nurturing openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.
What you will be doing:
- You’ll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan, but pivoting when circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care.
- Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands-on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games.
- It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged.
- We work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn’t stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.
What you will need:
- Full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years.
- Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5 is advantageous.
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable.
