Hello, I’m Aimee, the Nursery Manager at Derby Road. Our nursery is thoughtfully designed across two levels with tailored spaces that spark curiosity and inspire a lifelong love of learning. Our baby suite offers a calm, home-from-home environment where little ones feel secure, settled, and supported every day. Imaginative play is at the heart of what we do. Children love exploring our outdoor area, where engaging activities encourage creativity and development in a natural, inspiring setting.
How you’ll spend your time here:
- You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps.
- Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.
- You’ll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan, which may change as circumstances call for it.
- Creativity is key; teaching young children allows for hands-on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games.
- It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years.
- Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5.
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
